Ellie's Story

It’s hard to believe it’s only been a year and Ellie has become part of The Hair House family, because it already feels like she’s part of the furniture (the really stylish, hard-working, fabulous kind of furniture). Since day one, Ellie has shown a true passion for hairdressing, a thirst for learning, and a cheeky sense of humour that lights up the salon.

One of Ellie’s proudest achievements this year has been creating her look for the 2024 collection — a bold, creative statement that showcased not just her technical skill but her artistic eye. That moment, along with completing her qualification with areas of distinction, solidified what we already knew: she’s going places.

​

But it's not all about accolades. Ellie’s personality brings so much to the team. Her favourite memory? Our opening party — a night where clients, friends, and family came together to celebrate the birth of The Hair House. Seeing clients outside the usual salon setting was a special reminder of the amazing community we’ve built, and Ellie was right there at the heart of it.

​

Of course, we couldn’t share Ellie’s story without mentioning her favourite transformation — Anya’s calico hair. It was a bold and playful creation, just like Ellie herself, and a true reflection of how much she’s grown in confidence over the year. She admits that one of her biggest lessons has been learning to believe in her own capabilities — and it shows in every cut, every colour, and every client she works with.

When asked what makes her laugh most, Ellie couldn’t help but mention Steve joyriding on clients’ mobility scooters (we won’t ask too many questions), but it’s those funny, offbeat moments that make life at The Hair House so memorable.

Over the past year, Ellie’s cutting and styling skills have developed hugely, and she’s constantly seeking out new ways to level up. Her drive to learn, combined with her natural warmth, makes her a firm favourite with both the team and her clients.

​

Looking ahead, Ellie is excited to take the next step — starting her Level 3 training and continuing her journey toward becoming the best stylist she can be. She’s focused, full of potential, and has a brilliant sense of fun that makes every day in the salon better.

​

Ellie describes The Hair House as “fun, warm, and friendly” — and we couldn’t agree more. She’s helped shape that atmosphere, and we’re so proud of everything she’s achieved so far. Here's to another year of growth, good vibes, and great hair!
