Tyler’s proudest moments speak volumes about the journey she’s been on — from creating her very first collection at The Hair House to steadily growing a loyal client base through her own hard work, talent, and branding. What once felt like a risk has become one of her biggest accomplishments.

Being her own boss has pushed Tyler to trust her instincts more than ever before. She’s learned to rely on her creativity, back her decisions, and grow without needing external validation. “It’s been empowering,” she says — and it shows.

Her journey hasn’t come without challenges. After a busy period, Tyler faced a quieter month that made her question if she’d made the right choice. One of Tyler’s most touching memories comes from a client experiencing hair loss during menopause. With sensitivity and care, Tyler suggested adding a few subtle extensions to the front of her hair. The result brought her client to tears — happy ones. “She loved her hair again after years of hating it,” Tyler shared. “I’ll never forget that moment.” It’s a perfect example of the way she blends artistry with empathy.

She describes The Hair House as welcoming, passionate, and creative — and we think those words describe her, too. Her favourite memory? The opening day of the salon. Celebrating with clients, friends, and family made her realise how special the space really is. And that very first working day in the new salon? “Surreal,” she says. A fresh start that’s become a thriving reality.

As for what’s next? Tyler is excited to keep building — expanding her client base, learning new techniques, and continuing to push her boundaries. “I’m looking forward to more fun with the team and seeing where we can take The Hair House in year two,” she says with a smile.
