As the leaves turn golden and the air grows crisp, we can hardly believe how quickly this year has flown by. Autumn is here — and with it comes the start of our busiest (and most magical) time of year at The Hair House.

Since our Autumn Trends post went live, we’ve seen a real shift in the salon — with so many of you embracing richer, warmer tones. Chocolate browns, soft caramels, and golden blondes have become this season’s go-to looks, replacing the bright, sunlit tones of summer with glossy, multidimensional shades that add warmth and depth. Whether it’s a subtle toner refresh or a full colour transformation, we are here for these autumn hues.

The run-up to Christmas is always a whirlwind in the salon world, and this year is no different. In fact, our December diary is already nearly full! If you haven’t booked your festive cut, colour, or blow-dry yet, now’s the time to get organised and lock in your spot. We want to make sure every one of you heads into the holidays feeling your absolute best — with hair that deserves its own spotlight at every party, dinner, and family photo.

To make sure we can fit everyone in, we’ve extended our opening hours and added extra working days throughout December. The team — including Tom, Tyler, Jess, Ellie, and Amelia — are gearing up for some seriously busy weeks ahead. Expect plenty of festive tunes, hot drinks, laughter, and maybe the occasional mince pie.

And because we never do Christmas halfway… this year’s theme might just turn your world upside down.

That’s right — our 2025 Christmas decorations will be inspired by Stranger Things! Think fairy lights, eerie festive glow, and maybe even a few nostalgic 80s twists. It’s our little way of making your pre-Christmas pampering that bit more memorable — and a touch supernatural.

A Quick Note on Bookings, Cancellations & Our Waiting List

As we get busier, it’s more important than ever to keep appointments organised — both for your peace of mind and to help us manage everyone’s time fairly.

We use a secure booking system that sends you a confirmation link by text or email, so you can easily confirm, cancel, or reschedule your appointment. If you’ve opted in to SMS reminders, you can even reply Yes or No directly to confirm or cancel — it’s that simple.

To help keep things running smoothly for everyone, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or move your appointment. This allows us to offer your slot to someone else. Cancellations made within 48 hours or missed appointments may be subject to a small fee, but we always take genuine emergencies into consideration — fairness comes first.

We’ve also introduced a Christmas waiting list this year. If your preferred day or time isn’t available, let us know — we’ll do our best to shuffle things around and contact you if a space opens up. We often have clients swapping appointments, so there’s a good chance we can make sure that your party hair is right on point when you need it most.

For colour clients, please remember that patch tests are required at least 48 hours' before your appointment (if you are new to us or it has been more than 6 month's since your last visit) when products or health details change. If you’re unsure, just give us a call and we’ll check for you.
