For some, that might be a tidy trim to bring their style back into shape, while for others it could be a complete restyle, brighter highlights, or a fresh colour to reflect the change in season.

Spring often brings with it a sense of renewal. Just as wardrobes change and days become longer, hair routines begin to shift as well. Clients who may have stretched their appointments slightly through the winter often look to get back into a more regular schedule, while others take the opportunity to try something new ahead of holidays, weddings, or the warmer months ahead.


At The Hair House, we genuinely love seeing that seasonal energy return to the salon. The atmosphere becomes lively again as clients come in to refresh their style, catch up with their stylists, and enjoy a little time for themselves. Those small moments — a new haircut, a colour refresh, or simply leaving the salon feeling confident again — are a big part of what makes hairdressing such a rewarding profession for our team.

However, as many of our regular clients know, this time of year also brings a noticeable increase in bookings. With more people planning their appointments around the same time, our diary can begin to fill up quite quickly. Certain days of the week and evening appointments are particularly popular, and these can sometimes be booked several weeks in advance.

Because of this, we wanted to share a helpful reminder about managing appointments during these busier periods. Planning ahead where possible can help ensure you secure the time that suits you best and avoid disappointment when preferred slots are already taken.

Why Appointments Fill Quickly in Spring

Many clients prefer the same stylist, the same day of the week, or the same time of day for their visits. When these preferences combine with a busy season like spring, certain appointment slots can be booked several weeks in advance.

If an appointment is cancelled or moved, it may not always be possible to find another convenient time again in the following weeks. For this reason, we always recommend taking a moment to check your diary before confirming or changing your appointment.

This helps avoid the frustration of needing an appointment but finding the diary already full.


A New Deposit System to Secure Appointments

To help manage bookings fairly and ensure appointments are honoured, The Hair House has introduced a simple deposit system for appointments.

When you book an appointment, you may receive:

📧 An email reminder📱 A text message notification

Both will include a secure link asking you to pay a small deposit to confirm your booking.

Once the deposit is paid, your appointment will be fully secured in the diary.

If the deposit is not paid within time, unfortunately the appointment will be automatically cancelled. This allows the time to be released so that another client can book the slot.

This system helps ensure that appointment times are used effectively and allows our stylists to rely on the bookings they have reserved.
